This combined service does both halves of a common job in one go. We locate the subject with a Desktop Trace, then run a full background report on the address we find. You submit one form, pay one fee, and receive one report covering both stages.
It suits anyone who needs to know both where someone is and what their position is — typically before issuing proceedings, chasing a debt, or committing to a business relationship.

No Trace, No Fee
The trace comes first, and it gates the whole instruction.
If we cannot locate the subject, the result is negative in full. No background report is produced, because there is no confirmed address to report on, and there is nothing to pay. You will not receive a partial result or a partial invoice — the instruction simply closes as a negative trace.
If the trace succeeds, we proceed straight to the background report and deliver both together.
Stage One: The Trace
A desktop-based investigation using multiple data sources to locate the subject's current UK address. Our team searches electoral rolls, credit reference data, utility records, and other legitimate sources to identify and verify a current residential address.
On a positive trace you receive the current address, verified where possible.
Stage Two: The Background Report
Once the address is confirmed, we compile a full background report on it. The report is discreet and confidential — no footprint is left on credit files and no CRA search is conducted. It includes:
- Edited Electoral Roll - full names of all voters at the address and length of occupancy
- CCJ search - full details of any County Court Judgments registered against the subject at the address
- Insolvency data - bankruptcies, IVAs, and debt relief orders
- Linked addresses - any associated or connected addresses discovered
- Contact search - BT directory enquiry plus compliant mobile, landline, and email search from consented data sources
- Property registry search - whether the subject owns the property (solely or jointly)
- Directorship check - any exact matches for company directorships or business involvements at the address
What We Need From You
To begin, we need:
- Full name of the subject (including any known aliases)
You do not need a current address — finding it is the first half of this service. Anything else you can supply improves the trace:
- Date of birth, or any part of it
- Last known address or area of residence
- Previous addresses
- Any other identifying information
Lawful Basis
This search is available only where a valid lawful basis and a legal exemption to transparency (where applicable) exist under the Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. We require clients to indemnify us by confirming the purpose of the search is lawful, such as for the recovery of a debt, the prevention of fraud, or in contemplation of legal proceedings.
