This combined service does both halves of a common pre-sue enquiry in one go. We locate the subject with a Desktop Trace, then run a full asset trace against the address we find. You submit one form, pay one fee, and receive one report covering both stages.
It is built for solicitors, insolvency practitioners, and creditors who need to establish both where a debtor is and whether a judgment against them would be worth pursuing.

No Trace, No Fee
The trace comes first, and it gates the whole instruction.
If we cannot locate the subject, the result is negative in full. No asset report is produced, because there is no confirmed address to search against, and there is nothing to pay. You will not receive a partial result or a partial invoice — the instruction simply closes as a negative trace.
If the trace succeeds, we proceed straight to the asset trace and deliver both together.
Stage One: The Trace
A desktop-based investigation using multiple data sources to locate the subject's current UK address. Our team searches electoral rolls, credit reference data, utility records, and other legitimate sources to identify and verify a current residential address.
On a positive trace you receive the current address, verified where possible.
Stage Two: The Asset Trace
Once the address is confirmed, we run a full pre-sue enquiry against it to establish the subject's financial position. The report is discreet, compliant, and confidential — no footprint is left on credit files and no CRA search is conducted. It includes:
- Full Property Ownership Search - Land Registry searches at all linked addresses revealing:
- Property owner name(s)
- Property purchase date
- Purchase price (for properties purchased after October 2001)
- Mortgages and charges with dates
- Title number and tenure type
- Full Directorship Search - Companies House searches identifying:
- Current directorships and officer positions
- Resigned directorships (last 10 years)
- Shareholdings and significant control
- Company financial indicators
- CCJ Search - County Court Judgment search revealing any registered judgments against the subject at linked addresses
- Insolvency Check - Insolvency Service search for bankruptcies, IVAs, DROs, and administration orders
- Linked Address Discovery - identification of current and historical addresses associated with the subject
- Sanctions Screening - comprehensive check against UK and international sanctions lists
What We Need From You
To begin, we need:
- Full name of the subject (including any known aliases)
You do not need a current address — finding it is the first half of this service. Anything else you can supply improves the trace:
- Date of birth, or any part of it
- Last known address or area of residence
- Previous addresses
- Any other identifying information
Lawful Basis
This search is available only where a valid lawful basis and a legal exemption to transparency (where applicable) exist under the Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. We require clients to indemnify us by confirming the purpose of the search is lawful, such as for the recovery of a debt, the prevention of fraud, or in contemplation of legal proceedings.
